Trenching

Trenching is the process of digging a channel through dirt to connect the sewer and drain line system of a house or building to the main sewer line of the city. In most cases it is not difficult but there can be obstacles. These obstacles include patio decks, large shrubs, and trees.

Trenching is the process of digging a linear hole in the ground for the replacement of drain lines.
This trench is now ready for new PVC drain lines to connect the home’s drain line system to the city’s main sewer line.

The trenches are either dug by hand or with a specialized machine such as a backhoe. Either way, the old drain lines will be exposed for easy removal. New PVC drain lines will be installed which will have a much longer life span than concrete or cast iron drain lines.

Before and after the new drain lines are installed we will confirm that they have the proper slope to drain properly into the city’s sewer line.
